A story of passion and career change
Originally from Marseille, and after a career change in Burgundy, I settled in the Lot region in 2018. This was the result of both a family and professional project. Here, I was convinced I would find the ideal environment for my children to thrive and for my winemaking project to come to fruition.
My career change to winemaking began 15 years ago. I started by educating myself and gaining qualifications by completing a Viticulture and Oenology program, specializing in organic farming. I then acquired skills at a prestigious organic estate in Burgundy for five years before working in the Cahors region, providing viticultural services.
In the Lot vineyards, I found the ideal environment to create my own estate and produce terroir wines with a signature: that of character, craftsmanship and passion.
It was in 2021 that the Plantavin estate was born with 1 hectare and then 5 hectares of vines in 2022, about forty years old, spread over two clay-limestone plots (70% Malbec, 30% Merlot).
A human-scale estate, on my own terms. The personal expression of the wine, from pruning to bottling. Except for the manual harvest as a team, I therefore handle all the vineyard work and winemaking myself.
The estate's wines showcase the authenticity of the grape varieties, expressed through respect for the material and the terroir.
Plantavin was my maternal grandmother's maiden name, a story of a promise, of a tribute.
